MISSION STATEMENT

EVERY YEAR THOUSANDS OF BIKERS IN NORTHERN OHIO HIT THE ROADS TO RIDE FOR THEIR FAVORITE CHARITIES, IT’S THE BIKERS WAY OF GIVING BACK TO THEIR COMMUNITY, AND HELPING THOSE FAMILIES THAT ARE IN NEED. BUT SADLY, WHEN A BIKER LOSES HIS OR HER LIFE IN A MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT, THE FALLEN RIDERS FAMILY HAS NO ONE TO TURN TO, TO HELP THEM WITH ANY FINANCIAL NEEDS THEY MAY HAVE, AT THIS MOST DIFFICULT TIME, UNTIL KNOW!

THE FALLEN RIDERS MEMORIAL FUND WAS CREATED TO HELP THESE FAMILIES AT THIS MOST DIFFICULT TIME IN THEIR LIVES, BY GIVING FINANCIAL AID TO THESE FAMILIES. THE MONEY WE ARE ABLE TO GIVE THEM WILL HELP WITH THEIR BILLS, TO BUY FOOD, OR TO HELP COVER SOME OF THE FUNERAL EXPENSES OF THEIR LOVED ONE.

The Fallen Riders Memorial Fund was founded on January 1st 2004.

This fund has been established to give financial help to families who have lost a loved one in a motorcycle accident. The Memorial Fund was formed to help all Motorcyclist families  and Motorcycle clubs, in;
 NORTHERN OHIO!
All counties North of Drake, Shellby, Logan, Union, Marion, Morrow, Knox, Holmes, Tuscarawas, Carroll, and Jefferson.
New states coming aboard SOON, and moving closer to NATIONAL COVERAGE!!

This is a non-profit (501c3) organization that is funded solely by generous donations from individuals and clubs. The executive director and board members are volunteering their time,and will not be compensated. All money donated to this fund will be given to families of fallen riders! We hope you will adopt our Memorial Fund as one of the many charities you support . Now bikers have a charity of their own that is designed only for them and their families,to support. Together we can build the Fallen Riders Memorial Fund into something truly special that can be of great help to those who need it. To notify us of a family that needs our help, for more info, to make suggestions , comments, or to make donations, contact Chris Nice @ 216-401-8314 or e-mail FALLENRIDERS@AOL.COM Also you can contact anyone an the board, they will be more than willing to help you.

 HOW EACH CASE WILL BE HANDLED:
After the memorial fund has been informed, we will first get all the details of the accident for review from the local law officials, to see if the rider was riding irresponsibly.Such as running from local law enforcement, stunting, or riding while impaired in some way. After all the facts have been reviewed by the board,and the board agrees to help the riders family, someone from the board will contact the family to set up a delivery time for the check. The President/C.E.O. or  board members will personally present the family with a check.

The fallen riders memorial fund’s board of directors hope and pray that we will never have to use this memorial fund for it’s intended purpose,but unfortunately that will not be the case.

It is up to friends or family to notify us with in 3 months of the accident,of a family that needs our help. We will not approach any family with assistance during, or after their time of mourning, unless we have been asked to do so. Also, all requests for assistance may be subject to further investigation by the board of directors, and with the assistance of the local law enforcement agencies.
